Terms of Sales



The purpose of the general conditions of sale is to define the contractual relations between the Basis site and the customer. They define the conditions of ordering, payment, delivery, and possible product returns. The customer, defined as a user of the Basis site, acknowledges having read these conditions of sale and accepts them without reservation.

He also acknowledges being informed that acceptance of these conditions of sale does not require handwritten signature of this document. Consequently, any order for products implies the customer's final and irrevocable agreement to all of these conditions of sale.

Furthermore, the customer declares to have the full legal capacity allowing him to accept these conditions of sale. In the event that the customer is not legally capable of entering into a contract, particularly unemancipated minor children, he or she must obtain authorization from their legal representative prior to any order.

The customer can freely access these conditions of sale at any time by clicking on the “conditions of sale” link and can freely, under his sole responsibility, edit or save them.


Order taking

When the customer wishes to place an order, he will be asked, following instructions provided to him by the site, to complete a form. He will be asked for information such as his name, first name, postal address, telephone number and email address allowing his identification and delivery of the product(s) ordered.

The “double-click” requested when viewing the order summary constitutes an electronic signature, which has the same value, for both parties, as a handwritten signature. This signature makes the order irrevocable and cannot be canceled without the agreement of Basis.

Any order will be confirmed to the customer by sending an email to the email address they have provided. It is up to the customer to provide a valid email address.

Basis advises the customer to keep a copy of the order summary until receipt of the confirmation email.

Basis keeps purchase orders and invoices placed on a reliable and durable medium, which can be produced as proof of transaction.


Confidentiality

The information requested in the contact form is necessary for the processing and delivery of the order. We undertake to never disclose or sell this information in order to protect your privacy. You can modify this information from your account page.

In accordance with Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 as amended, relating to data processing, files and freedoms, you have the right to access, modify, rectify and delete data concerning you in online on this site. To exercise this right, contact the site administrator via the contact page.

To identify you on the site, cookies are necessary and are stored on your computer. Without them it is impossible to operate the customer area (session cookie).

Third-party cookies are also sent to make social media links work. They are not operated by the manager or administrator of this site.


Product information

The potential customer has photographs and descriptions allowing him to know the essential characteristics of the bases he chooses. Despite all the efforts devoted to their creation, these photographs and descriptions can only be given for information purposes. The color rendering of the bases can be modified by the customer's computer hardware. As the bases are handmade, they may have a slight difference in size or rendering compared to the descriptions on the product pages.

No document describing the bases can call into question the validity of an order.

The offers presented on the Basis website are only valid while stocks last. In the event of impossibility of completion or cancellation, no compensation will be granted.


Pricing information

All prices indicated are expressed in euros, all taxes included (TTC). In accordance with article 293 B of the CGI, VAT is not applicable.

Prices are given for information only and may change. They are only valid on the date of confirmation of the order.

Prices do not take into account any delivery costs. These will be indicated before validation of the order. Therefore the customer confirming the agreement to pay for the order agrees to pay the delivery costs, and these will not be recognized as a valid reason for cancellation of the order.

Any customs fees are the responsibility of the customer.

When ordering, payment of the entire price of the product(s) as well as any delivery costs must be made. No product will be shipped to the customer if the customer has not paid 100% of the sales price.


payment methods

The customer can pay for their order using online credit card payment secured by Stripe or Paypal.

The customer guarantees to Basis when validating the order that he has the authorizations possibly necessary to use the payment method he has chosen.

In the event of refusal of payment authorization from officially accredited organizations or in the event of non-payment, Basis reserves the right to suspend all order management and delivery.

In addition, Basis reserves the right to refuse to make a delivery or not to honor an order in the event that it has not been paid in full, or if the customer has a payment dispute during administration. .

In the event of non-payment or fraud Basis reserves the right to pursue the authors.


Secure payment

To guarantee the customer the best security, card numbers are not transmitted or stored on our server. Stripe or Paypal manage the different stages of the transaction (from acquisition of the transaction to delivery to the bank) using a secure exchange protocol encrypting the information.


Terms of delivery


Delivery rates

Delivery prices depend on the delivery address requested by the customer when placing their order.

For delivery in mainland France, the delivery price is €5.90 then delivery is free for orders over €100.

For delivery outside mainland France, the delivery price is €14.90 then delivery is free for orders over €200.


Shipping and delivery time

The shipping time is 30 working days maximum (10 days on average). This period begins from the date of payment of the order and/or certification of payment.

Delivery times are those indicated by the Post Office, they are given for information only:

 Metropolitan France: 48 hours

 DOM TOM (Zone A): 5 to 7 working days

 DOM TOM (Zone B): 5 to 7 working days

 International (Zone 1): 3 to 5 working days

 International (Zone 2): 4 to 8 working days

 International (Zone 3): 4 to 8 working days

The customer will be notified by email of the shipment of their order.

In the event of force majeure or exceptional events (natural disaster, epidemic, strike, war, etc.) delaying or prohibiting the delivery of the goods, Basis cannot be held responsible.

Delivery terms

Delivery is made to the address indicated by the customer when ordering. Basis cannot be held responsible if a problem during delivery is due to an error in the address provided when ordering.

Delivery will be made by post and will be considered effective from the date of first presentation by the carrier of the goods to the address indicated by the customer (the carrier's website being taken as proof).

The customer is required to check the condition of the packaging of the goods and to report any anomaly concerning the delivery (broken product, damage, etc.). The customer must, within two working days following the delivery date, confirm this anomaly by sending a registered letter to the carrier outlining their complaints. At the same time, he must send a copy of this letter by regular mail to:

In the event of late delivery, loss of goods, or delivery to a wrong address due to the carrier's fault, Basis is released from all liability and the customer cannot under any circumstances claim a refund or an item (or items) in compensation.

The customer can have the invoice sent to an address different from the delivery address by validating the option offered when taking the order.


Complaints about delivery errors

Any claim of delivery error and/or non-conformity of the products in nature or quality in relation to the indications appearing on the order form must be made on the same day of delivery or at the latest on the first working day following delivery. . Any complaint made after this deadline will be rejected.

Any complaints not made in accordance with the rules defined above and within the time limits cannot be taken into account and will release Basis from all liability towards the customer.

Delivery and return costs remain the responsibility of the customer.


Customs

It is the customer's responsibility to be informed about the customs regulations of their own country.

Any import charges, duties, VAT or other costs/fees associated with international shipping are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Basis cannot be held responsible for damage caused during customs inspections.

Return and Warranty


Right to retract

Bases with “simple” options (size, color, varnish, etc.) fall within the standard framework of the right of withdrawal. Bases with personalized writing are excluded from the right of withdrawal, they are part of goods that are clearly personalized or made to order.

In accordance with the legislation, the customer has a period of 14 working days to return, at his own expense, the base that does not suit him. This period runs from the day of delivery of the product. If this period expires on a Saturday, Sunday or public or non-working holiday, it is extended until the first following working day.

The return of minerals must be done in a resistant package. It absolutely must be carried out with a tracking number. Basis cannot be held responsible in the event of breakage, loss or theft of your return.

In the event that the customer exercises his right of withdrawal, he will have the choice of requesting a credit note valid for 2 months or a refund (which will be made within 7 days maximum). Reshipment will be at the customer's expense.

Only items will be taken back as a whole, in their complete original packaging and in perfect resalable condition. Any product which has been damaged, or whose packaging has been damaged, will not be refunded or exchanged.

Basis reserves the right to ask the customer to reimburse documents proving their identity (identity card and bank statement justifying the purchase).
Guarantee

The customer benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects (Art. 1641 to 1649 of the Civil Code) and the guarantee of conformity (Art. L. 211-1 to L. 212-14 of the Consumer Code). The guarantee against hidden defects applies within the framework of normal use of the product. Breakage or loss occurring as a result of an accidental circumstance, and wear and tear as well as aging are excluded from this guarantee.
